What makes a good short film?

If you were unable to attend the NCCC 2013 Training Seminar held on 25 May 2013, video clips from the event are now available!

Did you know that Singapore’s annual mean surface temperature has risen from 26.8°C in 1948 to 27.6°C in 2011, consistent with overall global warming trends? Mr Yuen Sai Kuan, Director (3P Network), National Climate Change Secretariat, described to seminar participants how global warming and climate change affect Singapore in his presentation. He also explained how human activities are causing climate change, what the government is doing to address the problem, as well as how individuals can make a difference in mitigating climate change.

TV producer and journalist Augustine Anthuvan challenged participants to produce engaging videos by visualising the first 9 frames of their video entries. If you are still undecided about how to tell your story, watch this video!

In her presentation, local film maker Tania Sng delved into the details of what makes a good short film . Want to learn how to generate ideas and convey them through film ? Watch this video for tips on pre-production and filming.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic School and Film and Media Studies lecturer Adrian Lim, who has led prize-winning teams at national video competitions, offered tips on content creation and the use of technology in developing compelling videos.
